Brazilian Logic Society

The Brazilian Logic Society (SBL - acronym in Portuguese) aims to congregate logicians from all fields from Brazil and other countries, encourage and stimulate the interest on logic and its applications, stimulating research and contributing to the improvement of this field in science.

We keep a strong scientific relation with logicians and research groups from Latin America and with the Committee on Logic in Latin America of the Association for Symbolic Logic.

Objectives

  • To promote conferences, courses, seminars, workshops and similar activities to spread and develop logic;
  • To publish scientific articles and bulletins with contributions of logicians;
  • To promote the interchange with scientific institutions from all of the world;
  • To maintain a specialized library;
  • To foment the improvement of knowledge in logic.
